Stupid powerlines |
I mean I understand why they're necessary, but it'd be nice if we could just bury them. They're quite the eyesore.
It's been a pretty interesting week. On Friday we had beautiful weather, I went out to Lake Fayetteville for a jog after work wearing shorts and a t-shirt and was quite comfortable. It then proceeded to snow 12" the next day - the first day of spring. Two days later and we're supposed to hit 69 degrees. I can't help but think this fluctuation is the culprit behind my current cold.
Speaking of sickness, we got health insurance reform passed this week. While I'm honestly pretty disappointed with much of the bill, I'm very happy with the protections that citizens will now have with regards to pre-existing conditions and the fact that those with serious health conditions will be able to get insurance and will not have it canceled. No one should go bankrupt to pay hospital bills, and no one should be denied care. Seems like it should be pretty simple. Unfortunately there are way too many selfish people in this country.
