Dawn on the Frozen Lake |
So you know that nice weather we've been having lately? The nice deviation from the frigid single digits? Yeah, that apparently has no effect on the weather pre-7am. 50's in the afternoon can still mean upper 20's at dawn.
This picture was taken yesterday morning at Lake Fayetteville. Who knew it would still be frozen with this weather? In some other photos I took you can see rocks out on the lake, presumably thrown out there by bratty kids who like to ruin photos (and by runners like myself who threw rocks on it last weekend). Which I can only assume means it's safe to walk on...
There were some amazing pink clouds pre-sunrise, unfortunately the docks don't open until exactly sunrise, so those were gone by the time I got out there. But I did get a few from the shore which will be posted at some point in the future.
But enough of my rambling, that's not why you came here.

Hi Brian :)
I arrived to your blog in a fortunate casuality - I was updating mine and I had some free time, so I thought search random blogs - and I saw this amazing picture you took.
First I thought: OMG is this Finland?
This is my first Winter in Finland, and I already saw this kind of scene so many times... But I never was able to "grab" it in a picture. Not like you did. So it's not Finland, but I felt connected to your picture and although I don't know you or your work, I can surely say that this touched my heart. My feeling are there somehow.
Now be sure I will follow your blog, I loved the other pics as well :)
Peace, Sofia
